Ohio State Bar Association internship

Alongside my major in Communication: Analysis and Practice, I soon selected a minor in Professional Writing. I completed an internship via this minor at the Ohio State Bar Association in spring 2011. The internship was a fitting addition to my last quarter of college, as I worked alongside professionals while transitioning to become one myself. The Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) is a “voluntary professional association open to anyone who has been admitted to the practice of law.” It is stationed in Columbus and consists of thousands of lawyers, paralegals, and law students throughout Ohio.

My job as an intern with the OSBA involved writing press releases and news updates for this audience. These various works were published on the company’s website and in its magazines. Since the conclusion of my internship, I remain in contact with the publications department.
